Catholic Officials Endorse Evolution And Call Creationism "Useless"

On Tuesday, Gennaro Auletta, who teaches philosophy of science at Gregorian Pontifical University, said that popes going back to the mid-20th century have "recognized the scientific value of the theory of biological evolution."

This statement came at a press conference promoting a March event aimed at fostering dialogue between religion and science.

A Vatican offical went even further at the same news conference.....

Monsignor Gianfranco Ravasi told reporters the following: "One thing is sure. Evolution is not incompatible with faith."

Ravasi also stated: "Creationism from a strictly theological view makes sense, but when it is used in scientific fields it becomes useless."

Ravasi even quoted the late Pope John Paul II, saying that "evolution can no longer be considered a hypothesis."

But what is the truth?

The truth is that the science does lead to a definitive conclusion, and that conclusion is that God created the world:

Really? I'd love to see our evidence for this claim because the proof you supply is, well, wrong. No transitional fossils? Google "Tiktaalik" or simply transitional fossils and you'll get 415,000 hits, which is quite a bit more than zero.

Your proof is to trot out a Christian Apologetics blog, evidently written by an ignorant twit who can only regurgitate the same old creationist canards. Go to the Talk Origins website and every one of these creationist claims are disposed of with facts and real scientific evidence.
