Whether you are in a red state or a blue state, or whether you supported Barack Obama or you didn't, the truth is that Barack Obama is going to be the president of all Americans. One thing that I hope that we all can agree on is that we should pray for our president, because he is the leader of this nation and it is an incredibly difficult job.So, with that being said, this is our prayer for President Obama:
We pray that God would give President Obama great knowledge and wisdom in leading the United States of America.
We pray that President Obama would be able to bring the country together and would make decisions that would be good for the whole country.
We pray that President Obama would be able to end these wars quickly and would be able to bring our soldiers home safely.
We pray that President Obama will be able to find a way to keep people in their homes and to help people without homes to have a warm place to sleep each night.
We pray that President Obama will stop America from destroying the environment of the world.

We pray that President Obama will help the United States end poverty around the world. The reality of poverty is something no compassionate nation can ignore.....
1 billion people in the world go to bed hungry every night.
Every 3.6 seconds someone starves to death and 3/4 are children under the age of 5.
More than 2.8 billion people, close to half the world's population, live on less than the equivalent of $2 a day.
More than 1.2 billion people, or about 20 per cent of the world population, live on less than the equivalent of $1 a day.
More than 1 billion people do not have access to safe water.
About one-third of all children under the age of five suffer from malnutrition.
We pray that President Obama will encourage Americans not to give up on their marriages.

We pray that President Obama will help end the epidemic of child abuse in America.
No moral nation should allow child abuse to occur at these levels.....
-It is estimated that there are over 60 million survivors of childhood sexual abuse in America today.
-Approximately 95% of all teenage prostitutes have been sexually abused.
-Of all American prisoners convicted of rape or sexual assault, two-thirds victimized children.
-Reported cases of child sexual abuse increased 322 percent from 1980 to 1990.
We pray that President Obama will be able to reduce the national debt.
Once upon a time, the United States was the biggest creditor in the world. But those days are long gone. Now America is the biggest debtor nation to ever exist on the earth.
America was once the richest nation in the world, but that was not nearly enough for them. Americans always had to have a bigger car, a bigger house and an endless supply of "stuff". So the government piled up debt, America's companies gorged on debt, and Americans made using credit cards into a national pastime.
Spending our own money wasn't even enough. We spent the money of our children, and of our grandchildren, and of their children, and now the national debt is approaching 10 TRILLION dollars.....an amount that we will never be able to repay. And if you include the future liabilities that our government has committed us to such as future Social Security and Medicare payments, then the total is over 59 TRILLION dollars.
Now that many of our jobs have gone overseas, the price of gasoline is shooting through the roof, and people are losing their homes, do we find that Americans are learning their lesson?
No.
Instead we are squeezing everything we can out of our plastic. Total credit card debt in America has reached almost a trillion dollars, and it is increasing at a rate which is four times faster than earlier this decade.
Instead of showing restraint, we have jammed the accelerator to the floor.
Prices are increasing dramatically while wages are remaining flat or even decreasing. Jobs are being outsourced and factories are being closed at a staggering pace. Our largest banks and financial institutions are teetering on the brink of failure. Homes are being foreclosed at record rates. Personal bankruptcies recently hit an all-time high. And so what is the answer the politicians give us? Wasting even more money and getting us into even more debt.
We pray that President Obama will end the use of depleted uranium weapons by the U.S. military.
Under George W. Bush, America has been using thousands of tons of depleted uranium munitions - dirty bombs made from our nuclear waste - in our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The resulting devastation from using these dirty nuclear weapons is a crime against humanity of the utmost magnitude:

We pray that President Obama will stop America from brutally torturing the prisoners it takes.
The torture techniques that America uses include hooding, stripping detainees naked, subjecting them to extreme heat, cold, noise and light, and depriving them of sleep. We pray that President Obama will work to end abortion in the United States.
Since 1973, well over 40 MILLION innocent babies have been chopped up and slaughtered in American abortion mills. For the good of the nation this must end.
We pray that President Obama will work with those who just helped pass Proposition 8 in California and will help to defend marriage across the United States.

Your comments about depleted uranium are false and misleading -- they parrot the garbage put out on the net that began with Saddam Hussein's propganda apparatus in about 1992.
You made the following false claims -

Probably has not been used in Afghanistan much if at all - there were no tank-to-tank battles there so way to have fired the 120mm tank round; also Taliban had very few tanks and I do not believe that A-10 was in range when they were destroyed early in the War when the Northern Alliance and CIA/Special Forces allies were advancing on Kabul. Again, DU penetrator rounds from tanks and A-10 were fired in 2003. No targets for them to be used since.

The referenced blog spot is one of the worst depictions of the claimed horrors of depleted uranium. The grotesque photo at the top is a photo (claimed to have been taken by Mohammed Daud Miraki, an Afghan living in Chicago, who is an anti-American con-artist) of Harlequin Fetal Syndrome. Harlequin Fetal Syndrome (Harlequin Ichthyosis) is a generally fatal extremely rare recessive genetic condition that requires that both parent possess and pass on the causative gene. Harlequin was first noted in 1750 almost 100 years before the discovery of a way to create uranium metal. It has absolutely nothing to with depleted uranium. The claims in the article are false.
