Moral Decline

Documenting The Moral Decline That Threatens To Destroy America

University Of Florida Quarterback Tim Tebow Makes John 3:16 The Number 1 Search Term On Google By Putting It Under His Eyes For The Championship Game

University Of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow actually made "John 3:16" the number one search term on Google for a short time by wearing it in the eye black under his eyes during the BCS championship game.

You can actually see the effect that Tebow had on the search term "john 3 16" right here:*&sa=X&date=2009-1-8

For those of you not familiar with John 3:16, it says: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

In some previous games, Tebow wore Philippians 4:13 on his eye black which says: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Millions watched this most recent game when Tebow led the Florida Gators to a 24-14 victory over the University of Oklahoma to win the national championship.

But not everyone is thrilled with Tebow's display of faith. The Orlando Sentinel recently put it this way:

Others feel religion and sports should not mix. "Why must he rub it in my face?" they ask.

So why would Tim Tebow do this?

Why would he expose himself and his teammates to potential ridicule?

The truth is that Tim Tebow recognized that millions and millions of people would be looking at his face during the national championship game, and he used that opportunity to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Tim Tebow is part of a dying breed of Christians who are not ashamed of the gospel.

Jesus told us that we should never be ashamed of Him or His message. In Luke 9:26, Jesus said this:

If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

We applaud Tim Tebow for not being ashamed of the gospel. The truth is that Tebow is working to fulfill the command that Jesus gave us almost 2000 years ago in Matthew 28:18-20....

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

So as far as we are concerned we hope that Tebow will continue to wear Bible verses on his face.

If even one person finds eternal life because of it then it is more than worth it.

It's amazing that people get so offended when a Christian shows even the smallest display of his faith, but Christians are considered intolerant if they complain about anything. If the Orlando Sentinel thinks Tim Tebow is rubbing it in their face when he wears John 3:16 on his cheeks, how do they think Christians feel when we can't even watch a T.V. show without seeing homosexuality displayed openly. That is not rubbing it in our face, that is shoving it down our throat. As recent as 40 years ago it was not unusual to see open references to Christianity on T.V. and in the movies, but not so much today. I wonder what it will be like in another 40 years. I applaud Tim Tebow for his actions, and I hope he doesn't let a few complainers worry him and that he will continue to display his faith as he sees fit.

Kudos to Tebow - his parents raised him right and he continues to show the faith.

On a more sour note, this article:

could be a very slippery slope for the young females in our country who will be tempted to give up their chastity for a big payday...

I, a UF graduate, am going to write my Testimony which will clarify my view.

In the mean time:

Money and its slaves: Obama Wants SEC to Peer Into Books of Goldman Sachs

With the recent discovery, it is evident that the financial markets are operated by much worse operational illegal rules, aka invisible hands -- and by those who sold their soul to the greedy money masters, aka satan using satanic schemes.

It was less clear about how markets are corrupted and unethical until now that we have more evidences of the core principles which are revealed through some of documents which are supporting the historical events and financial market historical price patterns which I commented on. Only those who have the godly-minded spirit and intellectual sharpness would see how astonishing the situation is.

Majority of people see it, but don't understand it. Or, just too evil to accept the reality and the truth to act on. To take actions to correct the sinful and satanic schemes. God knows all the truth, and the dark power can not outwit the omniscient and omnipotent God.

I would never sell my soul to satanic deception which is eternal damnation and is amazing that so many are sold themselves to the satanic money masters -- still pretending that they are conducting themselves as Christians, as usual. That is the reason that Jesus said many will fall into astray and will walk to wide gates instead of narrow gates which is leading to Eternity in Heaven.
