The new "Black Canary" Barbie doll by Mattel has truly set a new low. Dressed in kinky fishnet leggings that go way too high, a motorcycle jacket, black gloves and kinky black boots, "Black Canary" Barbie is apparently a role model for preteens who want to walk the street someday.
What do you think goes through the mind of a young girl when they are given a doll like this to play with?
Don't you think that introducing a "dominatrix" Barbie to girls at a very young age will warp their sense of reality?
Can you imagine young girls in the 1950s playing with a doll like this?
Of course not.
This is another example of the decline of traditional values in our nation.
What we teach our children at a young age DOES have a huge impact when they get older.
In a new federal survey, over half of both male and female 15 to 19 year old teenagers admit to having engaged in oral sex.
Think about that.
More teenagers have practiced oral sex than have not.
These are kids who have not even reached their 20th birthday yet. It sure makes one think twice about putting kids in public schools that is for certain.
Can the wickedness of this nation get much worse?
What are we teaching our kids that they would act this way?
This story brought the following verse to mind:
"Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold"
A Los Angeles man named Ervin Lupoe who was absolutely emotionally devastated by losing his job killed his wife and five children before turning the gun on himself on Tuesday.
Police found the dead bodies of Lupoe, his wife and the five children in a house in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Wilmington.
The children were so very young. One was an 8 year old girl and there were two sets of twins -- 5 year old girls and 2 year old boys.
Both Lupoe and his wife had worked at the Kaiser Permanente medical center, but both of them had been fired.
This is a terrible tragedy.
It will be easy to demonize this man for this horrible crime, but perhaps you should ask yourself how you would feel if you and your wife lost both of your jobs and you had five kids to support and you had no hope for the future.
How would you feel?
Would you feel despair?
Anguish?
A never ending knot in your stomach?
What if you lost your job today and couldn't find another one?
What would your life be like?
The reality is that we are going to see MORE horrible crimes of despair like this because for the majority of people, once you take away their economic well being you take away their reason to live.
In a society that has rejected God, material well being and security become paramount.
If everything was taken from you, would you still have a reason to live?
The truth is that the economy is going to get worse and worse.
Will you have a reason to stay alive when that happens?
Without God a lot of people are going to give in to despair.
What kind of cold hearted girls basketball coach crushes another girls basketball team 100 to nothing?
How much more cold hearted do you have to be to never even apologize afterwards?
The sad thing is that as the financial system continues to crumble and as we get closer to the end times, more people are going to becoming cold hearted. In Matthew 24:12, Jesus told us that people are going to become very cold hearted as we get close to His return.....
"Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold."
But you don't have to be cold hearted.
Decide right now that no matter what happens, you are going to live your life with love and generosity.
Times are going to get even harder, and each of us needs to decide what kind of person we are going to be.
The "economic stimulus" plan being pushed by House speaker Nancy Pelosi contains "hundreds of millions of dollars" for family planning services. When asked about this part of the bill, Pelosi insisted that "family planning services reduce cost" and "we have to deal with the consequences of the downturn in our economy."
Say what?
Family planning services reduce cost?
We can fix our economy by reducing the number of babies being born?
Talk about a "eugenics" agenda.....
And of course the majority of the "family planning" funding will go to poor areas, because we can't have poor people making babies, now can we?
Pelosi should be ashamed of her remarks, but of course she is not.
The following exchange between Pelosi and George Stephanopoulos came on Sunday morning during ABC's THIS WEEK:
STEPHANOPOULOS: Hundreds of millions of dollars to expand family planning services. How is that stimulus?
PELOSI: Well, the family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children's health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those - one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.
STEPHANOPOULOS: So no apologies for that?
PELOSI: No apologies. No. We have to deal with the consequences of the downturn in our economy.

The truth is that this new "economic stimulus" bill is so packed with pork and family planning funding and money for pet projects of various members of the Democratic party that there is hardly anything "economic" about it at all.
Do you know where the biggest garbage dump in the entire world is?

We are literally filling up the Pacific Ocean with our garbage.
